Assistant Professor - Physics

Section I:  Scope

The Physics Department at Manhattan College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning in Fall 2018. Strong candidate is sought in the area of computational physics and/or astrophysics but outstanding candidates in different fields of physics also will be considered.  The successful candidate should have a deep commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level, establish a strong research program and supervise student research. It is expected that the candidate will enhance research within the Department and foster collaborations with other researchers across the College and outside. Grant proposal writing is expected. A Ph.D. degree in physics or a related field is required. Some prior postdoctoral and teaching experience is desirable.

A Ph.D. degree in physics or a related field is required. Some prior postdoctoral and teaching experience is desirable.
