Chancellor Félix Matos-Rodríguez and the Board of Trustees of the City University of New York (CUNY) invite nominations and applications for the role of dean of the CUNY School of Professional Studies (SPS).

The next dean will have the unique opportunity to shape a distinctive identity for SPS to enhance its impact and reach, leveraging the school's unique mission, history and position in the CUNY system.

CUNY SPS offers a broad range of online and campus-based degrees and workplace learning programs for working adults. A national leader in online education, the school offers the most extensive array of onlinebachelor's and master's degree options in CUNY system and is its only undergraduate all-transfer college.

SPS programs are at the forefront of rapidly changing disciplines. Fortune Education ranks the school's MS in Data Science among the top 10 online data science master's programs, and No. 1 for affordability. For two consecutive years, U.S. News & World Report has ranked SPS programs among the top 10 Best Online Bachelor's Degree Programs in the nation.

SPS is an incubator forstudent talent and success. Flexible, customizable online offerings meet students where they are, allowing them to balance work and family responsibilities with their educational goals.

SPS faculty are not only leaders in their fields but also 21st-century professional practitioners renowned for online teaching. Together with a dedicated staff, they actively support SPS students as they explore their passions, learn new ideas and discover their capabilities.

The next dean of SPS must be a collaborative leader, have a distinguished record of accomplishment in adult education, professional studies and/or online education, and possess highly sophisticated operational capabilities and exceptional relationship management skills. The dean will be expected to enhance, model and ensure a commitment to diversity, equity, access and inclusion across the school community.
