Instructor/Assistant Professor/Associate Professor; Obstetrics & Gynecology

OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGIC FACULTY (Instructor, Assistant Professor or Associate Professor): Wright
State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a full-time
academic-minded faculty physician with passion for patient-focused care, community service, and research to
contribute to our mission to educate tomorrow’s physicians. Duties include participation in education/supervision
of medical students/residents in various settings including inpatient work, Labor & Delivery, OR and outpatient
clinic sites; and participation in direct patient care activities. Additional time will be made available to conduct
research & administrative activities. Members of the WSU BSOM Ob/Gyn faculty team, have opportunities to
contribute to academic development, learner experiences, research, academic programming, and clinical practice.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE OR CERTIFICATES PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF
EMPLOYMENT:
1. MD, DO, or MBBS degree; and
2. Completed 4-Year Ob/Gyn Residency; and
3. OB/Gyn Board Certification (or Board-Eligible^); and
4. Unrestricted Ohio Medical License; and
5. Federally-issued DEA License

Instructor rank must meet the REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE OR CERTIFICATES prior to the start date
of employment and also be 1). American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology candidate.
Assistant Professor rank must meet the REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE OR CERTIFICATES prior to the
start date of employment and also be 1). American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certified and, 2). Have 2-
5 years of clinical experience and 2-5 years experience in an academic environment.
Associate Professor rank must meet the REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE OR CERTIFICATES prior to the
start date of employment and also be 1). American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certified and, 2). Have 5-
7 years of clinical experience and 5-7 years experience in an academic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional history and interest/ability in any of the following:
• Interest and ability in clinical and classroom education
• Research, publications, and grant submissions
• Clinical trials / translational research
• Academic or clinical leadership
• Advanced investment into UME/GME efforts (e.g., curriculum development, course direction, simulation
center instruction).
• Desire to further your academic career and role with the department
• Direct supervision of resident learners within hospital and clinic settings
• Community outreach and collaboration
• Ability to serve as a model for excellence in research and clinical care
