12 Month Salaried Staff FT

As an assistant director, your primary responsibility will be to manage active applicant files and to serve as a resource for a caseload of domestic Atlanta transfer and graduate applicants. You will become an advocate for assigned students, encouraging the submission of admission materials (e.g., portfolios, transcripts, etc.), preparing files for presentation to the admission review committee, and registering transfer, transient, non-degree-seeking, certificate, and joint-enrolled students for classes in their chosen major. You will also communicate with students regularly to answer questions, ensure timely submission of necessary documentation, and organize transfer evaluations and portfolios for review of studio credit.

Among other duties, you will travel regularly to represent SCAD to prospective students and to build professional and institutional relationships with parents, teachers, and counselors. You will assist with recruitment events such as SCAD Days or SCAD Spotlight Days, information sessions, and other school events; encourage prospective students to visit on-ground SCAD locations; and participate in call-a-thons and Live Agent sessions.

The successful candidate is a spectacular written and verbal communicator with equally exceptional interpersonal skills. Professional and enthusiastic, the candidate can also deliver dazzling presentations. A high degree of organization, strategic planning, and attention to detail is essential, and the candidate should also be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required.
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills necessary, as well as Web knowledge, attentiveness to detail, ability to strategize, multitask, organize, and reach goals.
Ability to travel
Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft suite, Banner, Salesforce preferred

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
