Northland Pioneer College (NPC), located in Holbrook, Arizona invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Vice President Chief Information Officer. The College District Established in 1972, Navajo County Community College District, or Northland Pioneer College (NPC), is a publicly supported community college located in Navajo County, Arizona. Northland Pioneer College (NPC) is driven by the mission to provide, support, and promote lifelong learning throughout its entire rural service area and beyond. NPC currently serves over 5,000 students annually throughout Navajo and Apache Counties on its four campuses and five remote centers. The 21,000 square-mile service area includes the tribal homelands of the Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, and White Mountain Apache peoples and is governed by a five-member elected District Governing Board.
Northland Pioneer College (NPC) is seeking a seasoned professional with a clear vision of the role of information technology in higher education. The Associate Vice President Chief Information Officer (AVPCIO) is the senior information technology role for NPC. The successful candidate will possess a penchant and commitment to serving the needs of the college's diverse, geographically dispersed, and rural community. As well as provide leadership in the development of a strategic direction for IT services; able to monitor trends and innovations in the industry to meet those needs and make actionable recommendations to senior leadership. This comes at a time that is pivotal for NPC, because of several major initiatives underway, including the development of a new Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP).
The position reflects the strategic value of technology leadership within the institution's teaching, operation, and service missions. Leads the College's technology infrastructure and security, technical services, strategic planning, budget management, and all technology-related non-academic programs and services for the college's campuses and centers. Coordinates the development, maintenance, and use of the College's computing, data communications, and distance learning resources. It is responsible for administering the operations, budgets, and staff for the departments within the Technology Advancement and Support (TAS) Division. As a member of the college's senior leadership, the AVPCIO will report directly to the President and will serve on his cabinet.
