Budget & Reporting Director

The Budget & Reporting Director provides leadership in developing, implementing, and managing entity-wide and department-level budgets, entity-wide and department-level position control, and coordinates multiple regulatory and financial reporting efforts, including development of monthly and quarterly executive-level reporting and the entity’s annual financial statements. The Budget & Reporting Director regularly makes decisions for establishing work priorities and managing activities, coordinates workflow and interactions within the department and with other departments, and leads strategic reporting initiatives or special projects. Will have budgetary and financial reporting responsibilities and may have supervisory responsibility for non-classified, classified, and/or temporary staff.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline plus four (4) years of relevant professional experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or similar professional designation.

One year experience using Banner or a similar accounting system to perform accounting and financial functions.

State government or Higher Education experience.

Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.

Experience with financial system conversions.
