Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. This position will be based within the Center for Cellular and Molecular Therapeutics. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include performing wet bench research, training graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, writing manuscripts, oversight of technicians and other junior laboratory members and giving scholarly presentations. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of outstanding laboratory research with solid publications. The investigator will be expected to establish a track record in obtaining significant research funding and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.

The candidate must be skilled in a wide variety of state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques, human pluripotent stem cell culture, and highly experienced in gene editing technologies, and in the development of in vitro differentiation methodologies, especially in the area of hematopoiesis.
