The ideal candidate will serve as the public face for global engagement at UT Austin and as an analytical, culturally competent, and organizationally savvy administrator who can help the University prioritize without alienating others. The Senior Vice Provost will assist units in identifying collaborators and opportunities, serving as a central point of contact, and supporting strategic international collaboration across campus. This will include teaching and learning activities with international partners, innovative and digitally agile research, entrepreneurial pursuits, high-profile events, and ongoing relationship building.

On campus, the Senior Vice Provost will oversee and provide strategic guidance to the International Office, comprised of seven units, and 140 staff and extension instructors in the areas of: study abroad, international student and scholar services, global risk and safety, passport services, external relations, English as a Second Language (ESL) services, and special projects.
