CUNY SPS is accepting applications for a Nursing Faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The M.S. in Nursing Informatics program prepares Nurse Informaticists who are able to integrate nursing science, computer science and information science to better manage and communicate information, data and knowledge to promote the health of people, families, and communities.

The general responsibilities of the Nursing Informatics Faculty will include, but are not limited to teaching courses in the discipline, curriculum development, advisement and support of students; participation in committees and other governance structures; scholarship in the discipline and/or teaching and learning; development of clinical partnerships and other functions as assigned.

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in areas of expertise. Shares responsibilities for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions. Student advising; graduate project and thesis supervision; intellectual contributions leading to publication in quality journals; coordination of practicum/field experience; and service are required. The position is primarily in the graduate program but the candidate will be expected to teach courses across the curriculum.

QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent.  Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.

Preferred candidate should have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
•    Earned doctorate in nursing or related field
•    NYS professional nursing license or eligible for reciprocity
•    Knowledgeable in the field of Nursing and Informatics
•    Experience with online teaching and learning
•    Experience with curriculum and course development
•    Experience with student advisement and mentoring
•    Experience with establishing effective clinical partnerships and appropriate practicums
•    Evidence of collaborations with professional colleague

Additional consideration will be given to candidates who have:
•    Demonstrated evidence of program accreditation
•    Demonstrated experience with Graduate Nursing Education

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
