Core Faculty Position- Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Psychological Studies Emphasis
Master of Arts in Psychology Program

 

Antioch University Los Angeles campus is seeking a full-time Core Faculty position to develop and lead our nationally recognized specialization in Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender Affirmative Psychological Studies within the Program, including curriculum development; administrative responsibilities within the small collaborative faculty group and community outreach; also the ability to incorporate the various philosophies of LGBT Studies and to deepen knowledge about the identity, culture, sexuality and spirituality of all the stakeholders and their intersectional relations with race, ethnicity, class and ability.

 

The candidate must be knowledgeable of the research in affirmative studies and also how to reformulate existing counseling theories from the affirmative lens. As a national spokesperson for LGBT Studies and psychology, must be able to speak to the national press and also be able to curate national figures to present at Speaker Series and Conferences.

 

The position also includes teaching two courses per quarter, participation in faculty meetings, student advisement, and other assigned duties. In addition, the position oversees clinical training sites sponsored by the LGBT Specialization.
