The Department of Marketing, Supply Chain Logistics, and Economics in the AACSB accredited College of Business at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics position (position #120840-0) for the Fall 2018, subject to funding availability.  The position may be extended for an additional academic year. 

 

Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Economics or closely related discipline from an accredited institution with a strong commitment to teaching, academic research, and service. ABD’s will also be considered.  In the case of the latter, an extension is only possible if the doctorate degree is completed by April 30, 2019.

 

Responsibilities of this position include teaching principles of economics and open-field applied upper level economics courses at the undergraduate and MBA levels as necessary.  Excellent teaching credentials will be a primary selection criterion. A commitment to research, and service is also desirable.  While the position is housed at the Pensacola campus, it may require teaching at other university campuses.

 

The University of West Florida with nearly 13,000 students is based in Pensacola, on the Gulf of Mexico, known worldwide for its pristine white-sand beaches.   UWF is part of the Florida Board of Education’s Division of Colleges and Universities.  The department consists of a diverse group of scholars where collaboration is encouraged.
