Faculty appointments in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology

The Division of Gastroenterology-Hepatology at the University of Iowa is adding BC/BE Gastroenterologists and Transplant Hepatologists to an expanding division composed of diverse academic faculty with broad clinical and research interests.

The Division is seeking faculty members for appointment on the Clinical or Tenure Track at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent and need to show demonstrated outstanding abilities and skills in teaching and clinical medicine. These positions are not eligible for employer-sponsored authorization-sponsorship for H1B status. Successful candidates will become part of an internationally recognized and well-established academic GI/ Hepatology program, a critical component of University of Iowa Health Care, the only tertiary and quaternary care provider in the region. 

University of Iowa Gastroenterology and Hepatology is made up of 26 gastroenterologist and hepatologist and 11 APP. We have GI/ Hepatology specialist in ERCP, EUS, IBD, and Liver just to name a few. Each provider has a nurse clinician specialist and administrative support that assist with patient care outside of clinic and procedures. Our provider sees four full days of clinic care (mix of procedure and clinic) throughout a week.
