POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Director for Enrollment Operations is responsible for supporting the enrollment operations for Enrollment Management, including the successful implementation and ongoing project management for the university's constituent relationship management system (CRM), as well as the development, execution, and analysis of mixed-media, data-driven targeted recruitment communication campaigns. The incumbent utilizes a diverse set of software systems, database integrations, and technical operations designed to streamline and optimize admission and enrollment functions.

Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations, the position supports the implementation of data-informed and systems-based solutions to facilitate the execution of outreach, recruitment travel, territory management, recruitment communication, campus visit programming, volunteer management, yield programming, faculty and staff recruitment efforts, and reporting and analysis on behalf of Ohio University and the Division of Enrollment Management. The incumbent is responsible for identifying opportunities to leverage current and new technologies for the greatest effectiveness in enrollment operations.

The position represents the University at on-campus events by providing counseling and advice on a range of admission and enrollment processes to a wide variety of constituents, including prospective students and their families, secondary and postsecondary school personnel, community-based organizations, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enrollment Operations:

Support the successful implementation and ongoing project management for the university's constituent relationship management system (currently, Technolutions Slate) and associated systems, by monitoring system integrity and quality control, managing or supporting the execution of printed and electronic communication campaigns, and managing secure roles, permissions, and workspaces.

Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations, coordinate administrative and technical functions associated with the constituent relationship management system, including testing and upgrades with the CRM, management of system integrations with the university's student information system and various third-party vendors, and collaboration with campus partners for recruitment and communication initiatives.

Configure Slate instance to meet the strategic needs of Enrollment Management, while ensuring data integrity throughout all instances of the CRM.

Oversee the processing of various data uploads and lead delivery service integrations within the CRM, as well as actively updating source formats and system configurations.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive training documentation pertaining to the systems and associated processes, and train university personnel.

Communication Campaign Management

Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations, the position supports the ongoing development and management of mixed-media, data-driven targeted recruitment and enrollment communication plans executed within the CRM for Enrollment Marketing and Operations, serving multiple constituencies, including prospective students, parents, school counselors, volunteers, other influencers, and the university community at large.

Work collaboratively with Enrollment Marketing and Operations staff, University Communications and Marketing, and academic colleges to develop personalized and brand-specific messaging using technical skills (e.g., HTML, CSS, liquid markup).

Counsel and provide recommendations to other communication staff and academic unit personnel on best practices and procedures as they pertain to enrollment operations, mass marketing, and electronic communication, in addition to ensuring compliance with associated regulations and policies. Assists department and functional leaders on the development and monitoring of quality assurance of all enrollment communications for Enrollment Marketing and Operations.

Researches, conceptualizes, designs, and creates highly visible enrollment communication materials in coordination with other communication staff and academic unit personnel.

Lead Generation, Inquiry Management and Fulfillment, and Reporting:

Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations, support the management of reporting tools, queries, and regular data exports for Enrollment Operations.

Assist in the development of routine operational and analytical reports/queries to support the strategic goals of Enrollment Management and campus partners.

Provide consultation, implementation, and ongoing resource support for strategic enrollment partnerships by serving on various Enrollment Management working groups.

Manage the receipt and processing of admissions inquiries generated by lead delivery services, including automated, manual, recurring, and/or ad hoc data imports to the CRM.

Division Support

This position does not represent a recruitment territory but may be called upon to provide support and to represent the University at events both on- and off-campus.

Counsel and advise internal and external constituents on a range of enrollment processes. Maintain thorough knowledge of trends in the field of enrollment, and advise constituents on the breadth and depth of opportunities available at OHIO.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in hand or by start date.
Minimum of three years of related work experience.
Must have extensive knowledge of the practices and procedures performed by Enrollment Management.

Master's degree.

Pay Rate: The Assistant Director for Enrollment Operations is mapped to Pay Grade CA&P 16 at OHIO, with a target hiring range of $44,592-$51,838. The exact base salary for the selected candidate will be negotiable, commensurate with education and experience, and competitive in the field within the context of similarly situated positions at public universities nationally.
