The Trustees of York College of Pennsylvania (YCP) are excited to announce the search for the College's fifth president. They seek an inspirational leader who will engage the College's enthusiastic and supportive community, build on the College's outstanding success, strengths, and reputation, and enhance the College's legacy of positive impact on the lives of students, alumni, and the region.

A private, four-year college on 190 picturesque acres in the city of York in southeastern Pennsylvania, the College is known for its focus on experiential learning and community engagement. It serves over
3,500 undergraduate and 400+ graduate students in more than 70 baccalaureate majors, along with 30+ professional graduate degree and certificate programs. Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, York College of Pennsylvania's next president provides leadership to a complex, entrepreneurial academic enterprise that values shared governance and a strong sense of community. The president is responsible for stewarding and expanding on its extensive external partnerships with regional businesses, government, and non-profit organizations. The president should be an effective, visible, transparent communicator who welcomes and actively engages students, faculty, administration, and staff in collaborative planning, problem-solving, and innovation as the institution addresses its challenges and builds on its opportunities in a dynamic higher education environment. The president will ensure the College remains focused on academic excellence and student success within an inclusive culture.

The incoming president will be an energetic, inspirational, decisive leader with the competencies and skillset that align with York College's mission, values, and strategy. The president should demonstrate strong financial acumen, the ability to build and retain a talented team, effective decision-making skills, and the capacity to maximize the College's access to resources. The president must also be a consummate relationship builder and a community-minded individual who thrives on and derives inspiration from York College's extended family. An earned terminal degree and a record of teaching, scholarship, and service commensurate with an appointment to the York College faculty at the rank of professor are preferred. Leaders from within and outside higher education demonstrating a notable track record of success will also be considered.
