Professor of Accessory Design

SCAD seeks a full-time accessory design professor to join its faculty in historic Savannah, Ga.

In the SCAD accessory design program, students learn how to collaborate with peers and professionals to conceptualize, design, and implement an eclectic range of luxury fashion accessories and products for a competitive market. As a professor, you will join a team of international faculty members to lead students through every step of the design process using your expertise in accessory design, construction, and bespoke shoemaking techniques. From concept to completion, you will provide unparalleled and individual attention to prime students for their careers in the thriving accessory industry.

Requirements
- Terminal degree or its equivalent in accessory design or a related field
- Expertise in patternmaking and construction for handbags and/or footwear
- Technical experience in design theory preferred
- College-level teaching experience preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

- Terminal degree in related discipline.
- Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of related industries.
- Ability to be credentialed through SACS guidelines or justified to teach.
