Benedictine University (BenU), a Catholic, liberal arts institution guided by the Benedictine charism, with diverse and inclusive campuses in Lisle, Illinois and Mesa, Arizona, seeks its next president following the successful legacy of President Charles Gregory. The next president will be preferably Catholic with a terminal degree and capable of embracing and modeling leadership that reflects Benedictine values and a deep commitment to the Catholic intellectual tradition and Catholic higher education. As a Mission-driven and collaborative servant leader, the successful candidate will possess strong social skills, proven fund-raising experience and the ability to unify all University stakeholders around a common vision. BenU’s next leader also will have earned distinction as an executive in higher education with a record of progressive responsibility, professional achievement, and financial acumen. Personal characteristics of integrity, humility, agility, emotional intelligence, and an uncompromising work ethic are also necessities.
