Assistant Professor of Instruction in Materials Science and Engineering (Non-Tenure)

NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY - The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University seeks an outstanding individual to serve as a member of our teaching track (non-tenure track) faculty as Assistant Professor of Instruction. The successful candidate will teach and develop undergraduate and graduate classes. Responsibilities could also include mentoring and advising students, developing approaches to improve student learning and persistence, and performing other administrative duties as required. Applicants must have completed a PhD in Materials Science or Engineering or a related field, must have demonstrated excellence in teaching lecture and/or laboratory courses, and have an interest in advancing and publishing educational innovations.  

POSITION AVAILABLE: September 1, 2023. This position is a full-time, benefits eligible, 9-month continuing faculty position with an initial appointment of three years. The position has a well-defined promotion track.
