The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) invites applications for the position of Dean of the William H. Bowen School of Law (R0025065). Bowen’s mission is guided by three core values – access to justice, public service, and professionalism. The law school’s rigorous curriculum aims to balance theory, skill development, and experiential learning. Students have numerous opportunities to assist faculty with academic research and public service, such as with the Veterans Legal Services Clinic and the new Bowen Center for Racial Justice and Criminal Justice Reform. The School of Law seeks a dean to build on the school’s achievements and lead Bowen Law to a new level of excellence.

UA Little Rock, classified as a “doctoral/research” institution by the Carnegie Foundation, is Arkansas’s premier metropolitan university and enrolls approximately 8,000 full- and part-time students. In addition to the J.D., the university offers baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degrees across more than thirty departments in four degree-granting colleges. Required Education and/or Experience

Candidates should have a J.D. degree; a distinguished record of professional achievement; and a demonstrated capacity for effective administration leadership, successful fundraising, intellectual leadership, and collaboration in a legal academic setting. Candidates should manifest strong and effective communication skills.
