Community Partnerships Manager

THIS POSITION OPERATES REMOTELY FROM THE CENTRAL OHIO AREA AND REQUIRES EXTENSIVE TRAVEL THROUGHOUT THE REGION.

The Community Partnerships Manager works to cultivate and maintain strong community-based relationships between Ohio University and community colleges, school districts, college access organizations, and individuals who promote access to higher education. The Community Partnerships Manager works under the direction of the Senior Manager, Community Partnerships, and in collaboration with Undergraduate Admissions recruitment team to ensure comprehensive and thorough service to constituents.
1. Travel to and maintain presence at college partners on a regular basis to promote OHIO’s undergraduate programs. Serve as initial contact for prospective students and ensure consistency of the university relationship throughout the recruiting stages. Counsel and advise constituents on a range of admission and enrollment processes. Evaluate applications and supplemental materials for the purposes of making admission decisions. Conduct thorough, holistic, selective review of an applicant’s candidacy. Determine necessary documentation to support an admission decision and recommends appropriate alternative pathways when admission cannot be offered Track all interactions with prospective students in the constituent relationship management system.
2. Build and maintain relationships with administrators and faculty at partner community colleges and other educational based community organizations. Facilitate appropriate university connections and ensure appropriate campus representation and engagement with the partner. Connect Ohio University staff with appropriate counterparts at these organizations to promote and grow collaborative opportunities. Present to CC partner department chairs, faculty and staff.
3. Plan and execute joint events between community partners and Ohio University as necessary for optimal relationship management. Participate in recruitment activities including open houses, transfer fairs, welcome-back activities, classroom presentations, and faculty / advisor meetings. Provide excellent customer service by being highly visible, responsive and attentive to prospective student and other external stakeholder needs and inquiries, reacting in a timely manner and aiding in issue resolution and escalation when needed. Adhere to university recruiting and admissions guidelines and standards and adheres to provisions set forth in the National Association of College Admission Counseling Standards and Principles of Good Practice.
4. Use data to assist in recruitment and engagement planning. Identify trends and issues affecting community partner relationships. Secure new requests for program offerings provided by administrators, faculty and students at community college partners. Share analytic information with community partners as appropriate. Recommend OHIO course offerings needed by each of the partners to assure all student needs are met for bachelor completion
