Faculty Development Coordinator

As a faculty development coordinator, and reporting to the vice president for academic services, you will assist the chief academic officer and vice presidents for academic services through comprehensive coordination and management of operational logistics, including scheduling and reporting for all faculty development programs (e.g., SCAD Best Practices in Teaching workshops, Teaching Success Program, SCADpro classroom training, quarterly faculty conferences, SCAD Lacoste and study abroad orientations, etc.). You will review student course evaluations quarterly for faculty assigned to special projects and work requests and organize and ensure completion of faculty development assignments. Among other duties, you will also organize and coordinate all SCAD visiting artists and designers through vetting affirmation procedures.

The candidate should be a self-starter who thrives as an individual contributor and as part of a team and demonstrates the initiative to keep department executives focused and ahead of tasks required to advance academic projects and university initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
  • Relevant professional experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software


Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Salesforce or similar database

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
