Production Coord, Visual Media

As a visual media production coordinator, you will manage talent, resources, permits, and locations for all photo and video shoots on- and off-site, and liaise with both the legal and purchasing departments to process paperwork for vendors (e.g., provider requests, statements of work, invoices, etc.). With approval from the director of visual media in Atlanta, you will open new visual media requests, ensure all pertinent details are included, and notify the archivist once the job is completed. You will also schedule rental equipment, create and sign purchase requests, and maintain the accuracy of the Atlanta visual media team’s server. Among other duties, you will also maintain supply inventory, miscellaneous equipment, and the Atlanta visual media team’s leave calendar.

The successful candidate is a motivated self-starter with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. The candidate should have strong, proactive problem-solving skills and can work effectively as an independent contributor and within a group. A keen eye for detail and organization is essential, as is the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced production environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a closely related discipline
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and digital media file formats
  • Demonstrated experience in communications, media studies, film, television, information technology, multimedia, and broadcasting


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite


Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
