Assistant Vice Chancellor for Digital and Online Learning

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks applications for the inaugural role of Assistant Vice Chancellor for Digital and Online Learning. Reporting to the Executive Vice Chancellor, the AVC will work to establish campus-wide strategic priorities, a vision for online programming, and chart a course for success. As a champion of digital and online learning, the AVC will work with faculty, staff, and academic leaders to develop and lead strategic initiatives at UNL to increase enrollment; expand, optimize, and enhance program offerings that are fully delivered online; further the university’s commitment to access, diversity, equity and inclusion through distance education; identify new markets for credit and non-credit opportunities; establish strong public/private partnerships; and promote the potential of digital and online learning across campus. Such an effort will require an understanding of strategic priorities as outlined in the N2025 Strategic Plan and an appreciation of the university’s collaborative and decentralized culture. Successful candidates will be expected to pursue goals aggressively through authentic partnerships.
