Ivy Tech, one of the nation's leading and largest community college systems, announces a nationwide search to recruit a new Chancellor for its Madison campus.

Founded in 1963, Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is the state's largest public postsecondary institution and the nation's largest singly accredited statewide community college system. It serves as the state's engine of workforce development, offering affordable degree programs and training that are aligned with the needs of its community along with courses and programs that transfer to other colleges and universities in Indiana. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association. Ivy Tech enrolls in excess of 200,000 students in 14 regions with 32 campuses and 75 instructional sites, employs 8,800 faculty and staff, and has an annual budget of $500 million.

Reporting to the system President, the Chancellor is the chief executive officer of the Madison Campus and provides leadership to assure its effective operation and progress toward the goals of the strategic plan, “Our Communities. Your College. Pathways for Student Success and a Stronger Indiana.” The Chancellor plays a leading role in enabling the success of the campus’ 1600-plus students as they pursue their educational and career-readiness goals. The next Chancellor will be a visionary leader who possesses exemplary communication and interpersonal skills and understands the higher education environment. This individual will have a passion for changing students' lives and supporting their aspirations. The Chancellor will be willing to take data-informed risks to inspire changes in how everyone at the Madison campus thinks and acts to improve student outcomes. This individual should be able to work with dedicated faculty and staff and be student-centered, politically astute, highly energetic, and committed to a culture of increasing student and workforce diversity. The Chancellor will be an entrepreneurial and effective fundraiser, with particular capacity to develop and strengthen relationships with local partners.
