Beauty Workshop and Production Technician

11 Month Hourly Staff PT

In the business of beauty and fragrance program, students learn to prototype new product concepts and gain the professional skills necessary to successfully obtain positions in the industry. As a beauty workshop and production technician, you will partner with program leaders to assist with the development, logistics, coordination, and management of more than 40 workshops and events throughout the academic year. You will help update relevant materials (presentations, videos, new products, etc.), establish SOPs for product closets and beauty materials, and assist capstone students in prototyping new products. Among other duties, you will also collaborate with various SCAD units, including digital labs, film, creative shop, and third-party formula manufacturers, among others, to produce final prototypes.

Minimum Qualifications: Excellent project management, organization and time management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office 360, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Professional and creative ability to plan interactive experiences.
Ability to work with diverse groups.

Preferred Qualifications: Video editing.
Marketing experience.
Experience with, or professional interest in, the beauty industry.
Experience with organizing and managing events.

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
