Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Tuba/Euphonium

Position Details
This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person.

The TCU School of Music seeks a talented performer and teacher to lead the growing tuba/euphonium studio as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice (full-time, non-tenure-track). The successful candidate will have experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels with the potential to teach post-baccalaureate Artist Diploma students; maintain a high-quality tuba/euphonium studio through recruiting, engaged teaching, and local, regional, and national performance activities; teach in secondary areas according to the needs of the School as defined by the Director of the School of Music; and participate in departmental activities, including solo and collaborative performing, and other activities appropriate for a faculty member at a major research university. Minimum Qualifications:
- Terminal Degree (i.e. DMA) in Tuba or Euphonium or equivalent professional experience
- Experience teaching in a collegiate setting at any level
- Demonstrated potential in recruitment activities
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Teaching experience in a collegiate setting at any level
