Professor of Interactive Design and Game Development/ Interactive - Web UI/UX

As a professor, you will encourage innovation and process development while teaching the practical concepts of the design profession. You will also join an accomplished faculty creating unparalleled opportunities for students using the university’s leading-edge technology and resources.

The successful candidate is comfortable teaching in the varied disciplines of interactive design and game development, and should be proficient with standard software (i.e., Adobe Photoshop, Maya, 3D Studio Max, Zbrush, Unreal, Unity, Substance Designer/Painter, etc.). The candidate should also have a solid background in game art direction and development pipelines and/or programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java. Familiarity with 3D printing and technical art pipelines in level design, event scripting, particle effects, animation, and shaders is also essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Terminal degree or its equivalent in game design, computer art, or a related discipline
  • Experience developing interactive media for professional clients and/or shipped video game titles for PC, major consoles, and mobile platforms
  • Academic and professional credentials to teach in a certain discipline

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the collegiate level
