SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced senior assessment and curriculum specialist to partner with esteemed faculty and academic leadership to develop and refine curricular content.

As a full-time senior assessment and curriculum specialist, you will collaborate with faculty and leadership to ensure curricular content aligns with university best practices and professional and higher education standards. You will facilitate and oversee the ongoing implementation of curricular enhancement for assigned departments, help develop and refine assessment materials, and help build a culture that understands, values, and uses assessment data to make evidence-based decisions that enhance student learning and help improve resources and support services.

In accordance with SCAD standards for data and information security, you will collect, maintain, and analyze data from current assessment efforts; compile reports for internal and external stakeholders; and communicate these results in a way that nurtures discussion and progress. Among other duties, you will also lead the collection of capstone student work for assigned departments, keep current on accreditation requirements and standards, and prepare curriculum and assessment documentation for use in accreditation and other high stakes assessment exercises.

The successful candidate has spectacular interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the theoretical background and skills needed to lead curriculum and assessment process from concept to completion (e.g., course content, articulation of learning outcomes, instrument design and formatting, etc.). Experience creating innovative, meaningful displays of information and presenting complicated information to audiences from diverse backgrounds is paramount. The candidate should be both adaptable and flexible, implementing multiple goals and plans with ease. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and entrepreneurial organization is also essential, as is proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications: • Master's degree in a related field preferred.• Three years of experience in education, student outcomes assessment, program evaluation, and/or educational research with skills in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting.• Theoretical background and skills needed to lead the curriculum and assessment process from concept to completion, including development of course content, articulation of learning outcomes, instrument design and formatting, data collection and entry, descriptive analysis, presentation of results, and discussion of implications and next steps.• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.• Strong written and oral communication skills.• Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to execute multiple goals and plans within a fast-paced, team-oriented entrepreneurial organization.• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and statistical analysis programs, such as SPSS.• Experience creating innovative, meaningful displays of information. Experience presenting complicated information to audiences with diverse backgrounds.

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
