PROVOST and Vice President for Academic Affairs

 

SUNY Geneseo, located in picturesque Geneseo, N.Y., invites applications and nominations for the next Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. The institution seeks an action-oriented, inclusive, innovative, and transparent academic leader to join the SUNY Geneseo community and build on the institution’s history as a premier liberal arts college.

 

Geneseo’s next Provost will report to President Denise A. Battles and serve as a member of the President’s Cabinet. The provost will be responsible for the College’s academic programs and associated support services. The ideal candidate will have a record of progressively responsible and successful academic leadership roles in higher education as well as a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and social justice. A doctoral or terminal degree from an accredited institution is required.

 

Located in the historic homelands of the Seneca Nation of Indians and Tonawanda Seneca Nation, SUNY Geneseo is a forward-looking, selective public liberal arts college with a rich tradition of academic excellence.
