The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business invites applications from qualified individuals for multiple tenure-track positions in the Operations, Technology, and Information Management (OTIM) area with an intended start date of July 1, 2023.  These positions will have an affiliation with one or more of our three schools and will be based in Ithaca, NY.

 

The responsibilities of these positions include teaching introductory and advanced courses in operations management, digital technology, analytics, and/or machine learning for various undergraduate and graduate programs offered by the college; producing high-quality research in the field of operations management, sustainability, information systems, data science, business analytics, and machine learning; supervision of doctoral students; and service to the academic community, the OTIM area, the SC Johnson College of Business, and the University at large.  It is expected that our faculty teach across multiple schools within the College of Business.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D., or be on track to completing one, in operations management or a related field such as operations research, industrial engineering, economics, statistics, computer science, or data science.  Candidates in a related field must show a strong interest in operations, technology, and information management research and teaching.

 

Applications from candidates at the Assistant or Associate (without tenure) levels are welcome.

 

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (established on July 1, 2016) combines three Schools: the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management (Johnson), the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management (Dyson), and the Nolan School of Hotel Administration (Nolan).

 

The Johnson School offers MBA, Executive MBA, MS, and Ph.D. programs.  The Nolan School of Hotel Administration is the top-ranked hospitality management program worldwide, enrolling approximately 950 undergraduates and 150 graduate students.  The Dyson School is a top-ranked undergraduate business program, as well as home to graduate (MPS, MS and Ph.D.) programs in applied economics and management.

Graduating Ph.D. students should ask their references to submit letters of recommendation.  For other candidates, letters of recommendation will be requested at the later stages of the recruitment process.
