Assistant Professor of Dance

The Pomona College Dance Department invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to teach and provide dynamic leadership in the area of Technique, Choreography, and Performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Modern Dance Technique, Composition, Repertory, and one course from among the following: Somatic Movement Techniques, Anatomy and Kinesiology, Improvisation, or other area of related interest. The position requires an MFA degree, experience teaching in a college/university, a demonstrated ability to mentor a diverse student population, and a solid record of performance and/or choreographic achievement on the national/international level.
