Endocrinology Research Assistant Professor

The Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine is recruiting a full-time scientist as a Research Assistant Professor.

This position will continue to develop a research program in the regulation in ischemic skeletal muscle and vascular adaption. Candidates must have M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent degree with prior postdoctoral research training in molecular biology or vascular biology and previous experience with in vitro and in vivo models of PAD, gene regulation in ischemia including experience working with microRNAs.  Candidates must have an interest in research in an academic setting and a record of publications in the relevant field. Desirable Qualifications are prior experience with animal models of PAD, including experience or expertise in animal surgery, measurements of mouse limb perfusion with laser speckled perfusion imager.
