Registrar

The University of Utah seeks a strategic and collaborative leader to serve as its next registrar.

Reporting to the senior associate vice president for enrollment management, the registrar will provide strategic direction and oversight of the university's policies and procedures governing registration, graduation and other student academic areas. Setting the vision for a state-of-the-art and forward-thinking registrar’s function, the registrar will guide, support and mentor a committed staff and foster a culture of inclusion, equity, open communication and service.

The new registrar will join the University of Utah in a period of tremendous growth, creating an opportunity for a visionary leader to ensure processes and tools keep pace with this change. The registrar will provide direction and support in the development of new, and the enhancement of existing, technologies; embody collaborative leadership; develop innovative strategies to better serve students and the institution; communicate clearly with multiple audiences; and support and develop staff. The role is an on-site position based in picturesque Salt Lake City.

The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of progressive experience in a registrar's office at a large university. A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
