Description

The Department of Geography (https://geography.dartmouth.edu/) at Dartmouth College seeks a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Global Environmental Change. Areas of particular interest include present and future hydrology and water resources, climate change adaptation, land use and land cover change, and/or simple or complex Earth system modeling.

 

Our faculty regularly collaborate with numerous units across campus, including the Department of Earth Sciences (EARS); Department of Environmental Studies (ENVS); Ecology, Evolution, Environment & Society (EEES) graduate program; Neukom Institute for Computational Science; Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy; John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding; Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy and Society; Geisel School of Medicine; and Thayer School of Engineering.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a PhD in climate science, physical geography, earth system science, atmospheric science, hydrology, environmental science, or a closely related field, or be ABD with degree received before the start date of the appointment.
