Assistant to Associate Professor Black or Latinx Baptist Historical Studies

The Department of Religion seeks to fill a position at the rank of assistant to associate professor in History of Christianity (Black Baptist Church or Latinx Baptist Church studies) to begin August 1, 2023. The successful candidate will be a Ph.D. in
History of Christianity with demonstrated experience in Black or Latinx communities. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, a demonstrated research agenda, the ability to seek external funding, and to candidates who are
active in the Baptist Tradition. The application deadline is September 15, 2022. The Department of Religion offers both undergraduate and Ph.D. courses.
