Job Summary
The Sheldon B. Lubar College of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Finance to begin in Fall 2023.

The primary responsibilities of this position will be to provide high-quality research for publication in top-tier business journals and teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The selected incumbent will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance. Additionally, the selected candidate will contribute to the mission of the Lubar College by engaging with, mentoring, and advising students, by providing service to the area, College, and University through committee service and other shared governance activities, and by enhancing the College's strong linkages with the business community.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Business or closely related field, majoring in Finance or an allied field, or anticipated completion by August 2023.
  • Demonstrate research potential in the Corporate Finance and/or Asset Pricing Finance area.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Capacity for teaching excellence, strong communication skills as evidence in teaching evaluations.
  • Ability to work collegially and collaboratively within the university and business community.
  • Teaching experience or demonstrated interest in fintech or financial services-related courses.
  • Research record of exceptional quality published in top peer-reviewed journals.
