Associate Director of Instructional Media

12 Month Salaried FT

SCAD Savannah seeks an experienced associate director of instructional media to manage an expert team of learning experience designers focused on creating positive and engaging media experiences for all users of educational technology at SCAD.

In this full-time role, you will help advance the success of an array of SCAD academic and professional development initiatives, including the SCADnow online learning platform, student technology success, media support for non-academic departments, and the faculty professional development portal, as well as the rest of the SCAD educational technology ecosystem, which includes digital access to extended learning opportunities and SCAD signature events. You will serve as a model of best practices in visual communication and user experience, play a central role in the management of instructional media resources and technology, and create dynamic content and learning experiences that elevate student engagement and advance faculty instructional best practices. In collaboration with the director, you will oversee media resource adoption for SCADnow and other education technology services in alignment with university initiatives and strategic priorities to continuously advance the mission, vision, and values of SCAD.

The successful candidate is an efficient problem-solver and multi-tasker and is able to communicate complex information effectively to audiences from diverse backgrounds and education levels. The candidate should have excellent project management skills and a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to achieve measurable outcomes. The ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced, ever-advancing university environment is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in technology, design, or education
• Teaching experience in the following: best practices for teaching and learning, educational technology, user experience design, or related fields
• Experience with audio and video applications on mobile, web-based, and interactive platforms

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
