Director of SCAD Cares

SCAD Savannah seeks a director of SCAD Cares and its team of SCAD concierge and student peer guides who conduct individualized outreach to students, alumni, and SCAD families to build affinity within the university community.

In this full-time role, you will provide accurate information about university events, resources, policies, services, and procedures to resolve timely issues and manage proactive communication among stakeholders. For sensitive conversations with VIPs, you may reach out directly. You will develop training and materials, provide weekly and quarterly updates, and partner with other departments to prepare fact sheets, as well as with executive and university social media teams to identify affinity opportunities. On occasion you will lead workshops on assorted topics to support student engagement and participation. You will also track outreach efforts via Salesforce or a related CRM.

The successful candidate is an exceptional leader with superb written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. The candidate excels with the written word and demonstrates advanced project-management knowledge. The ability to lead a team and scale program operations is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit administration, education, higher education leadership, public policy, or related discipline
  • Minimum of five years of management experience

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
