Reports directly to the appropriate regional director of recruitment and is primarily responsible for identifying and recruiting the highest quality students for all campuses and all market segments. Build good relationships and create networking opportunities with teachers, counselors, students, parents, and alumni that will benefit the college through extensive travel, presentations, and individual attention.

SCAD Atlanta seeks an Assistant Director of Admission to identify and recruit the highest quality students to all SCAD locations.

In this full-time role, you will develop relationships with teachers, students, parents, and guidance counselors to generate interest in SCAD. You will recruit strategically within your assigned territory by visiting targeted high schools and colleges, hosting information sessions, attending targeted college fairs and conferences, and delivering presentations and workshops.

This is a high-travel role, with average travel of 35-40 weeks a year to assigned territories and other areas as needed; recruitment season is heaviest in the fall and spring. In this position, you will maintain a network of approximately 120 priority high schools, 20 universities, and five educational fairs or conferences in your assigned territory.

Additionally, you will conduct pre-scheduled, one-on-one appointments with prospective students in your assigned area and meet and follow up with prospective students to discuss their interests, answer questions about the admission process, and highlight opportunities available at SCAD. You will also keep detailed and accurate recruitment records.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, has a keen eye for detail, and is an excellent written and verbal communicator. The candidate should also thrive in multicultural environments and demonstrate a respect for diversity and other cultures. Strong web knowledge and a goal-orientated attitude are essential.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
