Professor of English

SCAD Atlanta seeks a full-time professor of English to shape the language and discourse of undergraduate students across disciplines.

From dramatic writing and fashion to advertising, graphic design, and beyond, English plays a fundamental role in the SCAD School of Liberal Arts and SCAD Core, the university’s general education curriculum. The ability to prepare the next generation of creative professionals majoring in film and television, industrial design, visual effects, writing, and more with real-world knowledge and skill is essential. Preferably, the candidate has a specialty that can directly contribute to teaching one of the following classes in addition to introductory English composition and general literature surveys: ENGL 166 African American Literature or ENGL 236 Harlem Renaissance.
