SCAD seeks a creative, versatile Writer/Editor for its award-winning, in-house agency. SCAD writers specialize in smart, engaging content that tells the university's stories, transforming ideas into words for digital and print campaigns and collateral.

Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have the agility to understand complex subjects promptly and have a knack for explaining them succinctly, demonstrating the ability to quickly determine appropriate structure, tone, and writing style for an intended audience. You should be proactive and research-focused, asking questions and seeking out details with detective-like tenacity. Excellent time management and multitasking skills are required, as is the ability to collaborate with a creative team, including a senior editor and other fellow writers, web developers, graphic designers, motion media artists, photographers, videographers, and project managers.

Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in advertising, journalism, communications, writing, or a related field
• Two to five years of professional writing experience, preferably in an in-house marketing department or advertising agency environment
• Demonstrated experience researching independently, coordinating with creative team members, and consolidating information into appropriate tone and message for various audiences and content platforms
• Experience writing basic HTML code
• Experience producing content under tight or rapidly changing deadlines

Certificates, licenses and registrations: Valid driver's license

Work Hours:The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In order to accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
