Position Summary

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, Department of Medicine is seeking highly skilled, fellowship-trained candidates for a Nephrologist position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated clinician looking to work within in a vibrant academic environment where active teaching and mentoring of Nephrology fellows, Internal Medicine residents and medical students is strongly encouraged. Opportunities for engagement in research are also available for interested applicants.

Temple University Hospital is a 750 bed hospital with robust critical care services, a high volume emergency department, kidney and other solid organ transplantation programs and nephro-pathology services. Outpatient nephrology services are conducted on-campus and at several local dialysis clinics, where all home therapies are encouraged and growing. The Section of Nephrology is dedicated to its tri-fold mission of excellence in patient care, education and research, and as part of a health care system; we are expanding programs to meet the evolving needs of our community, locally and globally.

Job Qualifications:

  • MD, DO or foreign equivalent;
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Nephrology
  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited IM Residency and Nephrology Fellowship prior to start date.
  • Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure and DEA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Interest in transplant nephrology desirable, but not required.
