Gifts & Records Coordinator

The Gifts & Records Coordinator is responsible for recording and receipting the charitable contributions received by Miami University. They will serve as the lead gift processor in the Stewardship Department, which will require independent judgment related to the oversight of the daily operations of the University Advancement Gift Processing unit. The Gifts & Records Coordinator will ensure the quality, integrity and accuracy of all donor information.

The Gifts & Records Coordinator will have the following duties:

• Responsible for training all new University Advancement staff on Banner database system.

• Responsible for all Alumni Weekend activities with regards to Stewardship team, including staffing assignments, organizing supplies, etc.

• Monitors gift processing operations, ensuring smooth work processes and accurate records while answering staff questions.

• Records gifts and pledges to the proper accounts, including the completion of daily deposits.

• Creates and maintains constituent records in Banner.

• May assist in the performance of various financial tasks including fund set up, FOAPL string review, working with Treasury and various departments regarding the fund set up of designations.

• Submits weekly feed to finance based on weekly gifts processed.

• Knowledge of computer systems, databases, Microsoft Office.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher, or one year of experience in gift stewardship, accounting, or gift processing

• Experience in overseeing staff and projects

• Strong proofreading, spelling and editing skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects exhibiting flexibility

• Keen attention to detail and thoroughness in completing assigned duties

• Collaborative style, combined with the ability and desire to work in a team-based environment

• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility regarding information related to Foundation and University business and confidential prospect information

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with Gift Processing
