Visiting Physics Instructor

The College of Arts & Sciences at Dakota State University invites applications for a one-year, full-time, benefits-eligible instructor to teach general education Physics. This position can be either remote/online or on-campus (preference for on-campus). The start date of the position is Fall 2022.


Responsibilities:

  • Teaching general education physics courses including Introduction to Physics I, Introduction to Physics II, Solar System Astronomy, and Stars, Galaxies, & Cosmology.
  • Additional duties may include researching and publishing relevant scholarship, advising students, serving on university committees, assisting with recruitment activities, and/or engaging in ongoing assessment.

Required Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Physics.
  • Effective teaching and interpersonal skills.
