Summary of Opportunity:

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is seeking fellowship trained candidates for a Urogynecology position at one of Philadelphia’s leading academic medical centers. 

The selected Urogynecologist will work with the Director of Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery to expand clinical urogynecology services at Temple University Hospital, Jeanes Campus of Temple University Hospital, and ancillary sites, as well as provide meaningful educational experiences to OB/GYN and Urology residents and medical students. Opportunities exist for engagement in research and candidates with interest in publishing or participating in research is preferred, but not required. 

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences employs approximately 30 MDs or MD/PhDs, plus supporting administrative, nursing and research staff. There are five clinical divisions including General Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology), Reproductive Endocrinology and Gynecologic Oncology. The department supports 25 residents.

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD, DO or Foreign Equivalent
  • Board certification or active candidate in OB/Gyn and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive  Surgery required
  • Academic credentials for a faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor  or above
  • Eligibility to receive an unrestricted medical license and DEA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment
  • They must possess outstanding clinical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other health care providers and support staff
