Job Description Summary
The Division of Public Safety Records Management System Administrator reports to the Captain, Staff and Administrative Services of University of Pennsylvania Police Department (UPPD).

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance of the Records Management System (RMS), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Emergency Notification applications. The Records Management System Administrator will generate a variety of scheduled and ad-hoc reports and analyze data, including daily compliance with federal Clery Act. This position is also responsible for resolving user issues, updating code tables, and setting the standard of quality for all reports coming into the system in order to ensure quality control.

Knowledge of Relational databases & SQL, is required.

Familiarity with Microsoft Access and Azure and ArcGIS is preferred.

Knowledge of criminal coding & data and Clery Act & compliance is preferred.

This position is classified as Essential Personnel and on-call 24/7 and is hybrid eligible.

The person in this position must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The person in this position must be a team player and serve in a matrix management capacity to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization and with external groups as well.

Job Description

Maintain the Records Management System (RMS), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), and Emergency Notification applications and ensure that patches/bug fixes are tested and applied promptly.

Ability to generate a variety of scheduled and ad-hoc reporting and the analyze data including daily compliance with federal Clery Act

Maintain code tables and perform daily administration of the RMS/CAD application to ensure optimal performance.

Resolve user issues and accept/deploy field-initiated enhancement or features and Daily maintenance of user settings, permissions and RMS administrative components.

Set the standard of quality for all reports coming into the system and ensure quality control.

Testing new software releases and maintaining system interfaces and Interface with vendor personnel to troubleshoot RMS issues and apply system upgrades.

Establish approval process business flow for all types of incident investigations.

Resolve disputes regarding records and actively establish standards within UPPD.

Identify delinquent reports and have the authority to remediate these issues.

Generate statistical reporting data and troubleshoot new statistical data collection needs.

Targeted Pay Range: $43,919- $75,000

This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
