The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical informatics for leveraging clinical databases to explore population-based relationships between sleep disorders and health outcomes. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants should be board certified/board eligible in Sleep Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include training residents and fellows in addition to precepting medical students and other trainees in the field of Sleep Medicine.

Clinical responsibilities may include performing comprehensive evaluations of patients with sleep disorders and managing patients with sleep disorders; interpreting polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests; attending in the sleep disorders clinic and sleep telemedicine program.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing evidence-based approaches to prevent, diagnose and treat sleep disorders and investigating the relationships between sleep disorders and co-existing conditions.
