The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of clinical pathology. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board Certification in Clinical Pathology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

Clinical responsibilities may include interpretative guidance of laboratory tests, including Serum Protein Electrophoresis. Additional efforts in system harmonization of lab medicine activities across the system, including optimization of the test menu, and clinical test guidance. The successful candidate will also be expected to have an additional area of focus in clinical pathology, such as coagulation or point of care. Experience or interest in laboratory informatics will be viewed favorably.
