Associate Professor and Director of Nutrition Program

Seeking to accelerate our vision to be the exemplar catalyst for innovation and advancement in public health, both locally and globally, the University of South Florida College of Public Health invites applications for a non-tenure earning faculty position on the Practice Pathway at the rank of Associate Professor to serve as the Director of the COPH Nutrition Program. This position will lead the development of a Nutrition concentration in the COPH nationally recognized MPH Program that will encourage participation from undergraduate students in COPH, as well as, students from across the state and nation.

Ranked 16th nationally among public health degree programs by the 2022 U.S. News & World Report, the USF College of Public Health is home to a limited access master’s program in nutrition linked to an accredited Dietetic Internship. Interest in nutrition education more broadly has grown significantly among students at all degree levels across the colleges of USF Health as have opportunities for collaborative partnerships in research and to advance practice. Thus, the need for a comprehensive Nutrition concentration in our MPH degree program that is separate from the existing Nutrition and Dietetics concentration that includes a Dietetic Internship. This is an opportunity to build work with a dynamic faculty actively engaged in shaping the future of public health through innovative curricula, transformational research, and community partnerships designed to create positive collective impact on health. We seek individuals with expertise in nutrition who are passionate about public health and who share our interest in practice-based and inter-professional education and multi-sector collaborations.
