Founded in 1871, West Chester is a public, regional, comprehensive university and one of the fourteen campuses of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. WCU enrolls approximately 17,000 students, is supported by 983 full and part-time faculty, and is organized into five colleges and two schools: College of Arts and Humanities; College of Business and Public Management; College of Sciences and Mathematics; College of Education and Social Work; College of Health Sciences; School of Music; and, School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies. The university is located 25 miles west of Philadelphia and strategically located in the center of the mid-Atlantic corridor between New York City and Washington, DC, with easy access to major cultural and commercial institutions and recreational activities. Reporting to the associate provost for enrollment management and campus planning, the assistant vice president for admissions will be responsible for the strategic development, implementation, tracking, and evaluation of all university activities in student recruitment and enrollment. The assistant vice president for admissions serves as an important part of the enrollment management leadership team.

The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree, at least five (5) years of progressive enrollment/admission responsibilities, extensive leadership experience in admissions within an enrollment management partnership environment, and sophisticated understanding of enrollment strategies, market research, social media, admissions, financial aid, and student information systems. Analytical ability as well as excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with faculty, students, alumni, and administrators across the entire university community are critical traits. An in-depth understanding of both undergraduate and graduate admissions and enrollment is preferred.

The search committee will accept confidential applications and nominations until the position is filled. Screening of candidates will begin immediately.
