Job Description Summary
To act as the Administrative Director of Philadelphia Regional Center for Children's Environmental Health (PRCCEH) and be responsible for its day-to day operation, medium and long term planning.

Job Description

Report directly to the Directors; act as a liaison between Area Leaders and PRRCEH members regarding research and training initiatives in environmental health/medicine. Act as a liaison with Federal, State and Local Officials, other Children's Environmental Health Centers and Community Leaders on PRCCEH activities. Build EHS grant base by identifying all sources of new PRCEEH grant support (e.g. NIH, CDC, EPA, State and Private Foundations) and disseminating opportunity information to PRCCEH members.

Maintain and upgrade the infrastructure of PRCCEH (upgrade and maintain PRCCEH web-site, brochures, symposium booklets, business cards and stationery). For the PRCCEH website- Post all PRCCEH and CEET seminars, events of interest. Monthly updates of awards, media coverage involving PRCCEH, highlight publications. Add/delete members as needed. Communicate with programmers on resolution of posting problems. Ensure all printed materials properly reflect University standards. Help to brand the PRCCEH image and publicize all PRCCEH accomplishments. Post monthly highlights to NIEHS.

Supervise the organization of the Annual symposium, PRCCEH seminars and special events; supervise the scheduling of the PRCCEH Center Grant and Internal Advisory Committee, the Executive Committee, and the PRCCEH External Advisory Committee. Supervise the scheduling of Career Development activities.

Using the NIH RPPR, Xtract and ASSIST systems, prepare with the Directors, multi-investigator grant applications including the PRCCEH Grant competing and noncompeting renewal. Maintain the necessary data bases to populate the required Tables for these applications including oversight of PMCID compliance. Prepare progress reports. Attention to detail is a priority as is ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Oversee the Pilot Project Award Process - Advertise Request for Applications, collect, send to reviewers, convene executive committee, send notification letters. Post winners on website. Schedule presentations of pilot project recipients. Administer the PRCCEH membership by overseeing annual appointment and reappointment process, solicit applications, schedule Executive Committee meeting, issue appointment/reappointment letters.

Consult with the Pediatric Department Business Manager on all PRCCEH budget issues including approval/use of carryover funds.

Bachelor's degree and minimum 3 to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master's degree preferred.
